DATE: Wednesday 13th November 2024

VENUE: Bournemouth University

TIME: 6pm till 9pm

In December 2023, Dawn Exley (Editor of Dorset Spotlight CIC) and Martin Wells (Bournemouth University – High Performance Sport Manager) came up with the idea of hosting a sports awards event – celebrating the outstanding achievements of local high-performance athletes and using this platform to inspire youth participation in sports.

They purposely didn’t want to host the awards as a sit-down meal, as they wanted to make the evening an intimate, invite-only event where athletes could network with their peers, creating a community of Dorset athletes that celebrate the highs and support each other through the lows of high-performance sport.
